One of our goals is that all children would know and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior by the time they graduate from our children’s ministry. We also want all children to become students of God’s Word and grow in their faith.Children’s ministry is an important ministry in the church because tomorrow’s church leaders are in our children’s ministry today.Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”We want to team with parents and raise spiritual champions!By teaching God’s Word in exciting and relevant ways, we believe that God will do a mighty work in the lives of His children.
We have many different weekly programs available to help your children in their spiritual development. On Sunday mornings, we have Sunday School that meets at 9:15AM for toddlers through 5th grade.Nursery is provided for ages 36 months and below for both Sunday School and worship services. Children's Church is offered during our Sunday morning worship service for ages 3 years - 5th grade. This is a service geared toward your kids and teaches them the Word of God in a fun and creative way on their level. It’s great and your kids will love it!On Wednesday nights, we offer discipleship programs for children ages 3 years through 5th grade.Nursery is provided for ages 36 months and below.Wednesday night emphasizes Bible learning and spiritual application as we encourage kids to grow close to God. Wednesday nights are a great time to get your kids plugged into Oakwood. We meet at 6:30PM in the Children's Wing.
WE BELIEVE
† ...that all children are a gift from God and each one is unique and special.
† ...all children at any age are important to God.
† ...Jesus is our example of how to minister love and truth to children.
† ...Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected so that all children could inherit the
Kingdom of God.
† ...Jesus called children to follow Him and to serve others.
† ...God appointed parents to be the primary Christian teachers of children and that
the church's purpose is to compliment that task.
† ...that our children's ministry is united with the church's mission and purpose.
† ...God has appointed the church body to be the role models of Christ's love to children.
† ...children can be examples to believers in speech, life, love, faith, and purity.
(1 Timothy 4:12).
† ...that all children are a gift from God and each one is unique and special.
